Maca For Erections

Other names: Lepidium meyenii, Peruvian ginseng

Maca contains a number of natural aphrodisiacs, which have been known for many years by the amazonas jungle natives for their ability to increase sexual desire and performance. It has been used for centuries as a tonic to enhance performance and virility. It works by expanding the blood vessels in the penis, causing increased blood flow.

A 12-week randomized controlled trial looked at 1,500 mg maca, 3,000 mg maca, or placebo. After 8 weeks, there was an improvement in sexual desire in the men taking maca.

Possible Side Effects
Maca should not be consumed near bed time since it could cause insomnia.
